- The CCS grant was used to help Behind the Book provide 17 programs to inspire a love of reading at two schools in Harlem, serving approximately 360 students through over 100 workshops. 82% of students showed increased motivation to read and 79% delivered higher quality writing at the end of the program. In the 2017-2018 school year, BtB partnered with 16 schools in 84 classrooms and conducted 506 workshops with 1,845 students--a 23% growth from the prior school year.
