Bloomingdale Family Program

Since 1960, this nationally recognized program provides services for young children from low-income families in upper Manhattan. Some of these services include a year-round, full-day educational program for children- two, three, and four-years old; on-site preventive services for children with special learning needs; continuing support for children after they transition into elementary school and parent programs fostering advocacy, self-development, and community involvement.

The grant provides a week’s salary for one of their play therapists. This person can work with approximately 10 children on an individual 1-1 basis weekly and provide support to the families as well.
