The Morningside Players

The Morningside Players (TMP) is a Collective Arts Company dedicated to presenting affordable theater of vibrant new work and classic plays to the Morningside Heights community. Located within the Morningside Gardens Housing Cooperative, TMP presents free or pay-by-donation-only performances in a welcoming and amiable setting.

Recent Grants Awarded

Year: 2023
Purpose: To improve lighting grid, fund upcoming productions, and provide actor stipends.
Amount: $3,000

Year: 2022
Purpose: The CCS grant will support marketing to the local neighborhood, both with a new online database and social media expert.
Amount: $4,000

Year: 2021
Purpose: The CCS grant will support the Page to Stage project, which will able local youth to learn the dynamics of how a play is made and gain a newfound relationship with live theater.
Amount: $3,000
