CCS Board of Directors

  • Why do I support CCS?

“Every day we see individuals in our community who are less fortunate than those of us who work at Columbia. Being part of CCS, I am able to support the amazing organizations in our neighborhood who dedicate themselves to helping people improve their lives. It is a privilege to do this work.”

  • Why do I support CCS?

"It has been a privilege to participate as a volunteer, donor, and cheerleader for the variety of organizations that are the lifeblood of the neighborhood where I work and live. There is so much amazing work happening--often by unsung heroes and heroines doing their part to make our community a little better each day. I cannot think of an easier way to be a good neighbor than by giving what I can to Columbia Community Service."

  • Why do I support CCS?

"Although I'm retired, I continue to serve on the board. Over the last 20 years I've visited many organizations that receive CCS funds and seen the beneficial results of our support. Because I know that our contributions make a difference in the lives of our neighbors I continue to contribute. It's encouraging to see how relatively small grants given to organizations over time, have a greater impact than one could imagine. Contributing to CCS is a wise investment into the wellbeing of our community. Our collective support makes it possible to help the community in more ways than we could as individuals."

  • Why do I support CCS?

"Contributing to the overall well being of one's local community is an important act."

  • I support Columbia Community Service because it's the right thing to do. When you see the joy in the kids or our elderly community, painting, dancing, reading, learning new skills, playing various sports, playing musical instruments, being mentored, advocating for the future of the young and the old: just knowing our community being enriched and served is just one of many reasons I choose to give to CCS and it's the reason I work daily to get others to give. Giving to our community is truly what makes us community. I continue to see and have seen the effects it has and the change in lives it brings... and I will not stop giving.
