CCS Launches Food Relief Project in Support of Columbia Neighbors Food Relief Fund

May 15, 2020

Columbia University is stepping up efforts to support local food relief programs by launching the Columbia Neighbors Food Relief Fund. COVID-19 has had a direct impact on an increasing number of families becoming food insecure due to pandemic-induced job loss and hardship. The Fund brings together the extraordinary resources of the entire Columbia community to heighten awareness, raise funds, and deploy resources to address food insecurity in Upper Manhattan. You can make a donation through either the Medical Center Neighborhood Fund or the Columbia Community Service Food Relief Project. Every dollar donated will support the Columbia Neighbors Food Relief Fund.

The CCS Food Relief Project is a singular response to address the impact of COVID-19 on our food insecure neighbors. The project supports emergency food relief programs in Harlem and Morningside Heights. The Food Relief Project is separate from the CCS Annual Appeal, which continues to accept donations.
