PPE Designed by Harlem Design Collective

In response to the urgent need for PPE, the artisans of SoHarlem,  re-opened for the sole purpose of making gowns and masks for New York City Hospital workers. SoHarlem offers affordable workspace to creative entrepreneurs in Harlem and supports the development of designers of color. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the members of this artisan collective had their workspace decontaminated and disinfected to create a sanitized space for making hospital masks and gowns. They are working in AM and PM shifts, two at a time, and have reconfigured their workspace to keep the machines are 6" feet apart.
