On July 10, the Columbia Community Service team and the leaders from this year's grantee organizations came together at The Forum on Columbia’s Manhattanville campus to connect with each other, discuss the critical work that local nonprofits do in the community, and celebrate these essential local programs.
In its 76th year, the Columbia Community Service Annual Appeal raised more than $300,000 from hundreds of Columbia, Barnard, and Teachers College faculty, staff, and retirees. Thanks to their generous support, CCS is awarding grants to 55 organizations in Harlem and Morningside Heights. Rooted in the local community, these organizations combat hunger, provide social services, support the arts, and fill educational gaps for youth in STEM, arts, and literacy. This year, CCS is especially thankful for a generous gift of $15,000 from the Leo Rosner Foundation.
