Help Support Our Neighbors With Much Needed Food, April 6 to May 6
The Military Veterans of Columbia University and Columbia Community Service have teamed up again to address the ongoing food insecurity on campus and in the surrounding community.
The Columbia Student Pantry located on the fifth floor of Lerner Hall on Columbia’s Morningside Heights campus has been serving students since 2017. The Pantry serves all registered students across Columbia’s 21 schools, colleges, and affiliates. At this time of the year, the food supply is critically low and food items such as canned meats, vegetables, soups, and pasta that can make a quick meal are needed.
Through its Food Relief campaign, Columbia Community Service provides grants to programs in Harlem and Morningside Heights that combat hunger. The 2026 Food Drive will support organizations such as Broadway Community, Cathedral Community Cares, Church of the Ascension, NY Common Pantry, and Westside Campaign Against Hunger.
Please drop off unexpired, non-perishable foods, such as canned soups, meats, packaged pasta, and canned vegetables between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm at one of the following locations (more will be added for your convenience):
- Earl Hall (Fireplace)
- John Jay (Dining Hall Entrance)
- Kent Hall (Room 205)
- Lerner Hall (Near Lerner Café Entrance)
- Lewisohn Hall (GS Lounge)
- Low Library (Public Safety Desk)
- School of Social Work (Library Entrance)
- Uris Hall (Chef Mike’s Sub Shop)
You can also make a 100% tax-deductible donation at any time during the Food Drive.
Together, we can help feed families and make our communities stronger—one meal at a time!
