On Tuesday, November 22, Sysco distributed 798 turkeys to six Columbia Community Service grantee organizations. CCS purchased 120 turkeys, another 120 were generously donated by Sysco to match that purchase, and 558 turkeys were donated by staff at Columbia University Facilities and Operations. With inflation and the increase in the price of turkeys this year, the ability to support these organizations as they keep food on tables in our community is invaluable.

The generous support of faculty, staff, and retirees at Columbia, Barnard, and Teachers College, enables Columbia Community Service to provide grants every year to local organizations that provide social services, educational enrichment, support for the arts, and hunger relief in Morningside Heights and Harlem. The 75th Annual Appeal raised more than $400,000, which was given out to more than 60 organizations. Donate now to the 76th Annual Appeal.
